Berkley Craft Show
When: Starting 9 a.m. Saturday
Where:
Why go: The holiday season is fast approaching, and the Berkley Craft Show is the perfect opportunity to buy that special something for a friend or family member. There will be fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations to purchase. Baked goods, lunch and a silent auction also will be offered.
Cost: Free admission
What else: Proceeds go to benefit the Berkley Senior Center.
Yellow Door Art Market's First Birthday
Where:
When: Starting at 10 a.m. Saturday
Why go: Get 15 percent off the majority of handmade wares. The store will be serving up Michigan-made treats, giving free Michigan magnets with a purchase of $30 or more and many of the artists will be on hand to meet their fans.

Ron Coden Performs
When: 8:30 p.m. Saturday
Where:
Why go: Grab dinner and a drink while you listen to Ron Coden perform folk, ballads, country, a little bit of comedy and more.
Cost: $5 cover charge

Detroit Zoo Birthday Bash
Where: Detroit Zoological Park
When: 10 a.m. Saturday, Sunday
Why go: The celebration will include polar bear crafts at the Arctic Ring of Life, games at the National Amphibian Conservation Center and tattoos at the Holden Museum of Living Reptiles. Fun facts, keeper talks and animal enrichment activities will take place at all three habitats. Visitors also will be able to test their knowledge of the Detroit Zoo with a scavenger hunt.
Cost: Admission is $12 for visitors ages 15 to 61; $10 for senior citizens 62 and older; and $8 for children ages 2 to 14 (children younger than 2 get in free).
