Free Boater Safety Class
When: 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday
Where: 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Building 38E, Training Room, Pontiac
Why go: Earn a boater safety certificate during this Oakland County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit class. The certificate is required for anyone who wishes to operate a power boat or personal watercraft.

Amazing Day at J.C.C.
When: 1-3 p.m. Sunday

Why go: Have fun with your family and contribute to a good cause during this carnival that will feature games, bounce houses, snacks and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring clothing or housewares to donate to the National Council of Jewish Women Greater Detroit Chapter resale shops such as .
