Events abound during long Labor Day weekend, including largest Zumba class world record attempt, Romeo peach festival and a brunch and Chinese auction at Aish in the Woods.

Why go: More than 175 artists, 250 bands and 70 food vendors will participate in what Art Fair SourceBook ranks the fourth-best art show in the country. Headliners this year include Panic at the Disco, Bret Michaels, Vince Gill and George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars. There also will be Ford vehicle displays, cooking demonstrations and the Meijer Kids zone, which will have games, live entertainment, karaoke and more.

Largest Zumba Class Record Attempt
When: 11 a.m. to noon, Saturday
Where: Michigan Lottery Stage/Main Stage at Arts, Beats & Eats in downtown Royal Oak
Why go: Help the YMCA break the record and make it into Guinness World Records.
Cost: $3 entrance fee to Arts, Beats & Eats

Aish Brunch and Chinese Auction
When: 10:30 a.m. Sunday

Why go: Come celebrate the educational accomplishments of Aish HaTorah during a community benefit brunch and Chinese auction.
Cost: $36 per person or $50 per couple for brunch; auction prices vary.

Detroit Jazz Festival
When: 4-11 p.m. Friday; 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; noon to 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Michigan Peach Festival of Romeo

Where: Locations throughout downtown Romeo
Why go: Enjoy carnival rides, beers from around the world, a DJ, Harley Night, a 5K/10K fun run, arts and crafts, a parade and all kinds of foods, including fried chicken, spaghetti and peaches, of course!
