Viewfinder: Fourth of July Potluck A Hit With Seniors

Huntington Woods tradition continues Wednesday at Gordon L. Hassig Senior Park.

An annual tradition continued Wednesday afternoon when Huntington Woods seniors gathered at for a Fourth of July potluck.

The residents brought dishes to pass, sipped tea and chowed down on burgers and chicken grilled up by building supervisor Bill Gergosian and resident Adam Shapiro.

Warm, sunny weather provided a perfect setting for the park outing, during which the seniors chatted, played bingo and won prizes.

The event was one of many throughout the city leading up to the Fourth of July parade and fireworks Monday.
