Snow in the Forecast This Weekend

The National Weather Service expects up to two inches of accumulation by midday Saturday in Berkley and Huntington Woods, with more snow Sunday and possibly Monday, too.

It looks like someone – the heavens, Mother Nature, whomever – is smiling on : Snow finally is expected to begin falling overnight and into Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Up to two inches of accumulation are expected by 1 p.m. Saturday, which will be breezy with a high of 34 degrees and a low 24 degrees, according to the forecasting agency. The dusting comes just in time for the annual event at the , which includes a snowman-building contest, snowshoeing and other outdoor activities that rely on snow.

Will Berkley and Huntington Woods receive enough the white stuff to satisfy Winterfest participants? Only they can be the judge of that.

More snow is in the forecast Sunday, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a high near 31 degrees and a low of 19 degrees with wind gusts up to 21 miles per hour.

The work week kicks off with a slight chance of snow Monday before temperatures head back up into the 40s Tuesday.
