Crispelli's and the Hatrick Pub were new this year on the crawl lineup, which has only had five stops in the past, Berkley Area Chamber of Commerce events manager RoseAnn Nicolai said.

"It's been great working with the different businesses," she said. "A lot of them have come out to support us with gift certificates for our drawing and sponsorships."

"It's been fun. I'm looking forward to seeing people enjoying the restaurants in Berkley," said Nicolai, who was registering participants at Amici's and said approximately 100 people turned out, including several from outside the city. "We want people to know this is a great place to come out at night for a meal and there are a lot of great shops."

"And, the parking is free!" piped in Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Darlene Rothman.

Participants paid $15 for a pub crawl badge, which got them a T-shirt (on a first come, first-served basis for those who didn't pre-register), munchies, drink specials and a punch card to qualify for prizes. A prize drawing was to be held at 10:15 p.m. at O'Mara's.

"I'm just here to meet up with a bunch of friends I've grown up with through high school," Robert Wagner of Berkley said outside Amici's. "It's something to do in the middle of the week."
