Photos: Huntington Woods 40th Annual Fourth of July Parade

The procession wound through the city that knows how to party Monday on its way to Scotia Park for a day of festivities.

Residents and visitors lined the streets Monday for the 40th annual Fourth of July parade in Huntington Woods.

The parade featured the Martin Luther King Jr. High School band, which performed in 2008 during pre-Olympic ceremonies in China, a Lawn Mower Drill team, horses, floats and more.

Many of those who marched in the parade tossed candy to the spectators, to the delight of children along the route.

, as well as winners Nathaniel Sachs and Alexis Rosenbaum, rode in the procession, and past city award winners sported red, white and blue rosettes.

After the parade, the festivities continued throughout the day with a hot dog roast, speeches, awards and games, then into the evening for the Concert in the Park at .
