Moms Talk: How Do You Keep Kids Safe Online?

This week, we'd like to hear what limits you set on their computer use.

Last week in Moms Talk (dads, you're welcome to chime in, too!), we asked when do you say yes to a pet and how do you teach your kids about the responsibilities that come with furry, scaly or feathered friend?

Here's what you had to say:

  • Libby Turpin: "We did not set any rules, other than close the door when you go outside so the dog does not escape. Everyone takes care of her. If I say, 'Hey, who wants to feed Sammy?' I get a race to the dog food, with a little pushing and shoving. ... I do have to say, owning a pet is a commitment. It is a challenge to have to leave somewhere all day and find someone to come let your dog out. But, that is why I love Berkley, we are surrounded with helpful neighbors who help."

This week, we'd like to hear you sound off on how you keep your kids safe while they're online. What do you teach them about whom they friend on Facebook and which links they click? What limits do you set on their computer use?
