Get Out: Lids for Kids, Berkley Art Bash, Relay for Life and More

Several beloved annual events will keep the community hopping this weekend.

There are plenty of fun options this weekend for activities for all ages. Check out these ideas, leave a comment to add your own and then head out to have some fun.

Lids for Kids

When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday

Where: , 2395 12 Mile Rd., Berkley

Why go: The annual family event includes a bike safety course, bounce house, Public Safety officer dunk tank, rock-climbing wall, free bike helmets and refreshments.

What else: The event coincides with the Berkley Art Bash, which will take place farther west down 12 Mile. Public Safety officers will bike back and forth between both events and hope that families visiting Art Bash will stop by Lids for Kids while they're out and about – and vice versa.

10th Annual Berkley Art Bash

When: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday

Where: 12 Mile Road from Wakefield to Tyler in downtown Berkley

Why go: Check out many kinds of art, food, live music and fun activities for children. Don't forget to . Berkley Patch is a sponsor of Berkley Art Bash, and editor Leslie Ellis and ad manager Jarrod Dambro will be on hand to chat with visitors. Stop by and say hi!

Relay For Life of Oak Park-Berkley

When: 10 a.m. Saturday-10 a.m. Sunday

Where: David H. Shepherd Park, 4200 Oak Park Blvd., Oak Park

Why go: Show your support for . Many teams will set up tents during the event and hold mini-fundraisers to benefit the American Cancer Society, selling items such as food and crafts.

Cost: Free

Clay, Glass and Metal Festival

When: 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday

Where: Washington Avenue and Fifth Street, Royal Oak

Why go: Check out the creations of more than 125 artists, sample food from local restaurants and enjoy live music throughout the day and into the night. Children can experiment in the Creative Arts Studio tent.

Beach Party, Vegas Night, Texas Hold'em

When: 6:30-11:30 p.m. Saturday

Where: , 2600 Harvard Rd., Berkley

Why go: After Lids for Kids and Berkley Art Bash, there's  no reason for the fun to stop! The public is welcome to participate in Texas Hold'em, blackjack, let-it-ride, craps and roulette at Our Lady of La Salette Church. The party also will include a disc jockey and a 50/50 raffle each hour.

Cost: Texas Hold'em will have a $50 buy-in with a $20 add on.
