Fuel Report: Gas Prices Jump 12 Cents in Week

After weeks of steady declines, gas prices are creeping up again and in Berkley and Huntington Woods, even getting close to $4 a gallon.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Metro Detroit is $3.76, up 12 cents from $3.64 a week ago.

Some of the lowest gas prices in and around southeastern Michigan can be found in Clarkston at $3.24 a gallon and in Utica, at $3.50 a gallon.

In and around Berkley and Huntington Woods on Monday morning, the lowest price is $3.68 for a gallon, found at the BP on Coolidge Highway in Berkley. It was $3.62 a gallon at the Speedway on Coolidge in Oak Park.
