Your Guide to Berkley CruiseFest 2013

Hundreds of classic cars will parade through town Friday, Aug. 16, during Berkley CruiseFest and we've got the scoop on everything you need to know to enjoy the celebration, including the weather forecast, a schedule of events, photos from last year and more.

The festivities begin Friday with sidewalk sales during the day and continue into the night with live music until 11 p.m.

Weather forecast

The high Friday in Berkley will be 78 degrees under mostly sunny skies with a light and variable wind, according to the National Weather Service. The low Friday night will be 59 degrees under mostly clear skies. So, make sure to take a sweater or jacket with you to the parade!

2013 Berkley CruiseFest Schedule of Events

  • All Day: Sidewalk sales (downtown)
  • 5 p.m.: Berkley CruiseFest staging at Roseland Park Cemetery
  • 6-9 p.m.: Kids inflatable games (north side of 12 Mile Road between Tyler and Gardner)
  • 6:30 p.m.: Berkley CruiseFest class car parade (sponsored by DTE Energy)
  • 7:30-9 p.m.: Tri-Community Coalition street dance (Griffith north of 12 Mile)
  • 7:30-11 p.m.: Magic Bus performs psychedelic rock music from the '60s and '70s (12 Mile at Robina; sponsored by DTE Energy)
  • All Evening: Games, prizes, food and movies (Phillips and 12 Mile)
  • All evening: Games, prizes, food and more (DTE Energy Booth at Griffith and 12 Mile)
  • All evening: Food and beverages available for purchase (downtown and at the food court at Robina and 12 Mile)
  • All evening: Official Woodward Dream Cruise merchandise available for purchase (booths staffed by Berkley community service organizations on Woodward and downtown); Berkley CruiseFest merchandise (downtown booth)
