AMERICAN DIABETES MONTH FREE BOOK: Diabetes and Foot Care

The physicians at NorthPointe Foot & Ankle in Berkley know very well of the consequences of diabetes.  They join the ADA this month in calling attention to the disease and the life-changing complications that can surface without proper care.  Diabetic patients are strongly encouraged to come in for a comprehensive, ten point foot exam.  Amputations and serious diabetic foot problems can be prevented with early diagnosis and proper care.  The practice participates in the Federal Diabetic Shoe Program and offers many items designed specifically for diabetic patients - socks, slippers, lotions, wound care ointment, etc.

Residents are invited to receive a free book on Diabetes and Foot Care written by the doctors at NorthPointe Foot & Ankle: Jeffrey Frederick, DPM; Lee Hoffman, DPM; Charles G. Kissel, DPM, and Michael Schey, DPM.   The books are mailed directly to their home by filling out an online form at www.MichiganFootCare.com.  Educational videos and other diabetic care information is also available to anyone on the site.
