The Berkley Farm Stand Reopens July 26

Fresh produce will be available from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.

The Berkley Farm Stand will reopen for the season Friday, July 26, in the empty lot next to Clark's Ice Cream & Yogurt.

The fresh produce stand will be open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays through Sundays, according to its website.

New this year, customers will be able to check out "Girl and Laurel" by Homer Winslow, which is one of five artworks from the Detroit Institute of Arts on display this summer throughout Berkley as part of the fourth annual Inside|Out program.

The Berkley Farm Stand owner Laura Uhlianuk, a Berkley native, and her husband Lee grow the stand's produce at Uhlianuk’s Specialties From the Farm, LLC, in North Branch.

"We start all of our vegetable plants in our own greenhouses with organic, non- GMO seed," The Berkley Farm Stand website says. "... At The Berkley Farm Stand we are committed to selling 100% Michigan grown. Less than 24 hours soil to stand. The only thing better than that is growing it yourself!"
