Lunch is Back at Sugar Kisses

The Berkley bakery is serving up fall favorites including soups and gluten-free Shepherd's pie, spinach pie, strata and pizza; apple pie will be added to the menu in October.

The return of fall means lunch is back at Sugar Kisses in Berkley.

The bakery is dishing up soups and gluten-free goodies including Shepherd's pie, spinach pie, strata and pizza.

Co-owner Brian Hack said Sugar Kisses launched the light lunch menu, with prices ranging from $2.75 to $5.25, on Tuesday and will offer a couple varieties of soup each week.

"Apple season is a couple weeks away, which means the return of apple pie in October," he added.

It is too soon to tell how severely this year's apple crop shortage will impact Sugar Kisses, but the bakery will only sell pies made with fresh fruit, Hack said.
