Liquid Lunch in Birmingham: The cafe specializing in smoothies, juices and tonics using all vegan, raw and organic ingredients has opened at Be Well Lifestyle Centers at 750 S. Old Woodward Ave. Visit liquidlunchcafe.​com for more information.

Hogger's BBQ in Berkley: 2959 12 Mile Road. The Southern barbecue restaurant and 2012 Berkley Patch Readers' Choice award-winner has closed. "We have lost our lease after many months of disagreements with our landlord," an e-mail to customers earlier this month stated. "We are currently working negotiations with another building right here in Berkley."

KouZina in Royal Oak: 121 N. Main St. The new eatery offers Greek street food from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, 11 a.m.- 4 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and noon-9 p.m. Sunday. "Everything is made with the freshest ingredients. We don't even have a microwave," said Bobby Leslaris, one of the partners behind KouZina.

Local Kitchen and Bar in Ferndale: 344 W. Nine Mile Road. The restaurant is offering free s'mores at midnight on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in front of its wood-burning fireplace. Local also will launch a lunch menu next week. Starting Nov. 19, the restaurant will be open for lunch every weekday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit localkitchenandbar.com or check out Local's Facebook page for more information.

Love &Buttercream in Royal Oak: 3102 Crooks Road. The new bakery specializes in cookies, cupcakes, cakes and everything sweet. The store hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays.

Mamma Mia Tuscan Grille in Rochester: 543 N. Main. The new eatery offers warm comfort food 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1-9 p.m. Sunday. The bar remains open until 2 a.m. Call 248-402-0234 with questions.

Muses Taverna in Troy: 1893 E. Big Beaver Road. The new restaurant serves a variety of authentic Greek dishes from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
