Hungry? Head to Detroit for Food Trucks, Restaurant Week Starting Today

Familiar food trucks to rally in New Center for Dine & Drive in the D.

If you work in downtown Detroit or don't mind the quick trip down Woodward, our popular food trucks are trekking down to the New Center Area for Dine & Drive in the D today.

It's Detroit's first food truck rally and it starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 8 p.m. with 12 participating vendors.

Featured food trucks include Treat Dreams of Ferndale, Royal Oak-based Jacques’ Tacos, El Guapo (Detroit), Chow Catering (Madison Heights), Frank’s Anatra (Bingham Farms), Ned’s Travel Burger (Birmingham), Taco Mama, The People’s Pierogi Collective, Concrete Cuisine, Cheese Dream, Debajo del Sol and the Cheese Wizard.

The Farbman group is sponsoring the event with the Michigan Mobile Food Vendors Association. Christina DiBartolomeo, asset manager for Farbman, said there are more than 3,000 people in the area looking for lunch each day – so why not bring lunch right to them?, she said in a Huffington Post Detroit report.
