Fuel Report: Prices at Local Gas Stations Continue to Fall

Find the best prices around Berkley and Huntington Woods.

National gas prices are down again this week and local stations are following suit.

According to Monday’s AAA fuel report, the national average for a gallon of unleaded gasoline is $3.59, down nearly 20 cents from $3.78 last year. This week the state average is $3.62.

Around Berkley and Huntington Woods, gas prices are in the range of the state average, with a few even below it.

If motorists venture to some neighboring towns, such as Royal Oak, prices reach above $3.80, according to our Commute page. However, area stations are still more expensive than cities such as Sterling Heights, Hazel Park and Troy.
