Fuel Report: Gas Prices Rise Around Town
Though gas prices around Michigan remain the same as last week, local stations' prices are creeping up.
If you're on the lookout for local stations with the cheapest gas prices this week, be prepared to pay the state average of around $3.83.
While last week gas stations around town reflected lower prices than the Michigan average, local prices have crept up this week. Berkley and Huntington Woods prices are in the range of $3.78-$3.85 now, according to gasbuddy.com
Here's a look at prices around the area for a gallon of unleaded gasoline:

- BP at Coolidge Highway and Catalpa Drive: Up 5 cents this week to $3.78, still the least expensive around town.
- Sunoco at Coolidge and 12 Mile: Up 6 cents this week to $3.84.
- in Berkley: Still at $3.84, just as last week.
- BP at Woodward Avenue and Lincoln: Down 5 cents this week to $3.85.
Although the state average did not drop this week, the good news is that prices did not go up. In fact, this time last year, unleaded gasoline averaged $4.20 per gallon, according to the AAA fuel report.
