Fuel Report: Gas Prices Remain Steady at Just Below $4 a Gallon

Nearby gas stations flirt with the $4 mark, though the average cost of a gallon of unleaded gasoline in Michigan is $3.91, according to AAA Michigan.

Metro Detroit motorists felt a little relief at the pump last week, and gas prices have remained steady heading into the new week, according to AAA's fuel report.

As of Monday morning, the average price of a gallon of unleaded gasoline is $3.91 in Michigan, just a few cents under the national average of $3.93.

Around Berkley and Huntington Woods, motorists are seeing gas prices around $3.96.

The BP at Coolidge Highway and Catalpa Drive, Sunoco at Coolidge and 12 Mile and the in Berkley are at $3.96, according to gasbuddy.com.

The BP at Woodward Avenue and Lincoln is up to $4.05, according to our Commute page, and prices drop at nearby gas stations in bordering cities, such as the Oak Park.

The Oak Petro Mart on West Nine Mile in Oak Park is at $3.76 for a gallon of unleaded gasoline.
