Cloverleaf Fine Wine in Royal Oak / Satay House in Madison Heights: Royal Oak’s Cloverleaf Fine Wine will host a limited-seating wine dinner to celebrate Valentine’s Day at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Satay House in Madison Heights. The 5-course Malaysian meal with wine pairings will cost $60 per person. A portion of each ticket will benefit the South Oakland YMCA. Satay House is located at 31101 Dequindre Road. Townsend Hotel Bakery in Birmingham: The bake shop will be closed through Feb. 9 while the space is renovated and its menu upgraded. When the bakery reopens, it will be in partnership with Lavazza Coffee, a Italian coffee brand. In the meanwhile, patrons still can order the hotel's cakes, cookies and sandwiches by calling 248-644-6506.

Restaurant Week in Birmingham: The eighth annual event features 20 restaurants offering $15 lunch menus and $30 dinners. Most meals include an appetizer and dessert. Birmingham Restaurant Week runs Jan. 28-Feb. 1 and Feb. 4-8. Both weeks, diners will have the chance to purchase raffle tickets to benefit Forgotten Harvest. RAO Sports Bar & Grille in Farmington Hills: The City Council on Monday approved a liquor license transfer and new Sunday sales, outdoor service and an entertainment permit for the restaurant, which is expected to open this spring in the former Players Billiards Bar & Grill location on 10 Mile Road east of I-275. The proposed menu includes soups, salads, burgers, pizza and entrees such as cajun alfredo chicken, fish tacos, baked macaroni and cheese, ribs and steak. Desserts will include cheesecake, several ice cream dishes and "dirt worms dessert."

Genji Japanese Steakhouse in Novi: The restaurant located at 27155 S. Karevich Drive across from Twelve Oaks Mall, will celebrate its grand opening Friday, Feb. 1. Genji offers Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and other types of fare. The staff aims to give customers a two-hour dining experience. In addition to a traditional dining room with some hibachi stations, Genji also has a bar that features live entertainment and a sushi station where diners can watch their meal be prepared.
