Paintings like “Mending” and “Unconditional Love” (see them in the attached photos) serve as a testimony for how her art reaches people.

“It reminds her of how she is able to help her patients,” Burny explained.

The latter was made for a woman in California.

“She let me know that this painting was an exact match of her and her daughter. She has it hanging in her living room, and it’s her daughter favorite painting,” she said.

Burny’s artwork can run all the way up to $400, but begins at just $3. “I would love to have everyone who wants to enjoy my work be able to,” she added.

Patch: Tell us about the creations you offer.

Burny: I offer original acrylic painting along with prints and usable pieces that display my artwork.

Q: How did your journey as an artist begin?

A: I have been creating since I was a child. I took that love into the corporate world and for several years was an art director in an advertising firm. When I started a family, I left the corporate world to enjoy being a mother. During this time I began to paint children's furniture and custom murals.

Q: Where do you draw your inspiration from?

A: My inspiration is my children. As they grow and discover, I look forward to seeing their creative thoughts and ideas! I feel extremely fortunate that I can be involved with my children and still have the joy of creating! Life is Good!

Q: Take us through the process of making your art.

A: My pieces are typically drawn from simple life experiences. Love, compassion, and quirky things that just make me giggle. From there I paint my interpretation.

Q: What does being an artist mean to you?

A: Art is my way of expressing special moments in life. To bring a smile to someone’s face, or to have them connect a personal experience to my artwork has been extremely rewarding.
