Tag Days meets, exceeds fundraising expectations

With the last of the change counted, the annual Berkley Schools Tag Days is declared a complete success. The Berkley Instrumental Boosters, which supports the band programs, and the Berkley Orchestra Association report that donations exceeded expectations. The gorgeous fall weekend, coupled with a record-setting 510 students participating, made it a great event. More than 35 businesses in Berkley, Oak Park, Royal Oak, Southfield and Beverly Hills were generous enough to allow students to collect donations from their patrons. Donations collected from Tag Days directly support music education for the students in the Berkley School District. Check the Patch calendar for a list of concert dates, and support businesses that support music education.
