BHS band and orchestra students perform at HW Men’s Club Auction

Students from the Berkley High School orchestra and the band's drumline performed at this weekend's highly successful Huntington Woods Men's Club Auction

Big “thank yous” are in order for many BHS band and orchestra students who gave up a portion of their Saturday night to perform at the Huntington Woods Men’s Club Auction. From the orchestra, students included Ella Schodowski, Lauren Cohen, Haley Bennett, TJ Bowers, Ayumi Perez, Rose Turner, Jennifer Alpert, Megan Mulheron, and Molly Logsdon. From the BHS 2012-2013 Drumline, students included Zachary Lask, Patrick Schahfer, Jack Krueger, Brodie Burns, Nick Rhein, Trevor Maes, Treman Stuart, Caleb Duchan, Jackson Tomasaitis, and Max Fields.

“The band and orchestra students were a huge hit,” says Gordy Oliva, Berkley Instrumental Boosters president, who also had duties as an emcee for a portion of the evening. “The Men’s Club provided the high school band with a generous $5,000 donation last year, and this was a way we could show our appreciation and support.”

Orchestra students provided music for the first hour as patrons arrived. Drumline bursted into the Huntington Woods Recreation Center just prior to the live auction event, and it proved to be the highlight of a great evening.
