Band and orchestra students took high honors in solo and ensemble events at the annual MSBOA State Festival. Concerts scheduled for May in Berkley.

Proving, once again, why the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) named the Berkley School District a “Best Communities for Music Education” for the second year in a row, Berkley High School band and orchestra students performed outstanding at last week’s state festival.

Leah Pernick is being considered to perform as a soloist with the Michigan Youth Arts Festival Orchestra having earned all A+’s. This is a special nomination given at the judge’s discretion.
