Thornetta Davis, Jill Jack and More to Play Huntington Woods Concerts in the Park

Get the complete schedule for the summer series held Tuesday evenings in Scotia Park.

The lineup for this year’s Concerts in the Park in Huntington Woods is packed with big names on the Motown music scene, as well as lesser-known acts you won’t want to miss.

The summer series kicks off Tuesday, June 18, with blues favorite Thornetta Davis and includes performances by rocker Jill Jack on July 9 and the folk band Crane Wives on July 23. HotSauce Detroit will play feel-good music during the city’s annual Fourth of July celebration.

“Wait until you hear the Crane Wives,” exclaimed Huntington Woods Parks & Recreation Recreation Supervisor Colette Nutton, who organized the lineup. “They’re amazing.”

Unless otherwise noted, the free concerts will be held at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday evenings at Scotia Park and be relocated to the Recreation Center in the event of rain. Art activities will be available for $1, except on July 4, and civic groups will raise funds by selling snacks.
