CD Release Cafe Concert Scheduled for Local Detroit-based Band At Average's Debut EP

The young Detroit-based three-piece acoustic indie band At Average delivers original folk-rock music on their debut EP: Black Hatted. In celebration of the record, the band will be headlining two shows in Metro Detroit. The first concert is Friday, April 27th from 7 to 9PM at The Coffee Beanery located at 28557 Woodward Ave in Berkley, MI.  The second show is scheduled for Sunday, April 29th from 8-9:30pm at Christ Church Cranbrook located at 470 Church Road in Bloomfield Hills, MI.  Both shows are all ages and free admission.

From LA to Nashville to Detroit, the band brought in guest artists from across the country to season Black Hatted's tracks with diverse harmonies, swelling orchestrations, spaghetti western riffs and even bellowing tones from a cathedral organ. Nashville producer, Mike Odmark mixed and mastered the album at Jars of Clay-owned studio, Gray Matters. The band is currently taking preorders for their new album at: http://www.ataverage.bandcamp.com.

At Average's eclectic indie-folk arrangements and instrumentation pair with lyrical influences from diverse subjects including history, cinema, God and myths.  At Average originally launched after a splintering of the Midwest-touring band The Northern Skies.   At Average is: Nathan Schleicher on lead vocals and various acoustic instruments; Emily Carlson on strings and organ, and Nic Cole-Klaes on double bass.  Visit: http://www.ataverage.com for complete bio, photos and audio.
