Dream Cruise Snapshot: 1915 Ford Model T

Friends take old-timer out on the town for pre-Dream Cruise fun.

A solitary, 1915 Ford Model T stood sentry Thursday outside in Royal Oak, appearing much like a many-time great-grandpa of the other classic cruisers passing by on Woodward Avenue.

Dale McDermott of Roseville and Paul Sloan of Grosse Pointe Farms had parked the car during dinner before heading out to cruise the historic road. McDermott and Sloan are members of the Ford Piquette Plant in Detroit, the birthplace of the Model T.

"There are not too many other Model Ts in the Cruise," Sloan said. "They don't do too well" without the benefit of modern cooling technology.
