Berkley, Huntington Woods Residents Invited to Tour SOCRRA in Celebration of Earth Day

See how your recyclables are sorted and baled during 30-minute walk-throughs April 22-27 at the Southeastern Oakland County Resource Recovery Authority facility in Troy.

The Southeastern Oakland County Resource Recovery Authority invites residents of its member communities, including Berkley and Huntington Woods, to find out what happens to recyclables after they leave the curb in celebration of Earth Day.

SOCRRA will host 30-minute tours of its Material Recovery Facility at 955 Coolidge Highway in Troy from April 22-27 at the following times.

  • Monday to Friday: 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m.

The tours will include recycling displays in the Education Center and a Material Recovery Facility walk-through to show how recyclables are sorted and baled.
