LOOKING FOR HOST FAMILIES!!

Hi my name is Teresa, I am the ASSE Area Coordinator in Michigan. I have been hosting for 4 years now it has left an impact on my family, we have learn about other cultures and they learned about ours. Having an exchange student in the home is much like having an adopted teenage son or daughter from overseas. Each student that we have hosted has become very close to us and has become a part of our family. We truly enjoy having a teen in the house.

Mustafa is from Turkey, He is 17 years old. His interests are swimming, football and basketball, folk dance, ice skating, running and the movies. Mustafa goal is to make the world a better place and his future plans are to study medicine and to become a doctor.  He is a confident person who is into sports and arts. YE004EE

 


Mammadagha is from Azerbaijan, he is 17 years old.  His interests are Running, track, wrestling, acting, chess, reading and exercising.  One useful quote that I heard and live by is: “If it was easy, everybody would do it”.  These words keep me motivated to train harder and I consider myself a winner.  He describes himself as hardworking, communicative and trustworthy. One of his dreams is that he would like to learn to play the guitar while in the USA. Ci015EE

Irina is from Moldova, she is 17 years old.  Her interests are painting, drawing, aerobics, dancing, running volleyball and ballet.  Irina is of Christian faith and her religion is very important to her, she is very active in her church and attends weekly. Because of her BIG family, she love kids so much and she hopes that in your family, there will be a child too, younger or older than her! CI001EE

ASSE was established in 1976 as the American Scandinavian Student Exchange by the Swedish Government to organize student exchange programs between Sweden and the United States. Soon Denmark, Norway and Finland elected to participate. Since then, the program has grown to include:
