So you missed the community comments at the beginning. They were great; different people hit onRead More different items that continue to be brought up like the amphitheater, the lawsuit, political signs and putting community comments back into the minutes. I said, " I think that too many members of the board have perhaps been here too long and have forgotten that they’re here to work for the community and not to advance their own agendas and pet projects."

I think the amphitheater is a done deal. I don't see any consideration on the part of the TownshipRead More Board to stop or delay it. The only hurdle is the potential environmental issues at the site. If that is cleared, it will get done quickly.

Is there no way to stop them from ruining our lovely park?

Nice points Arielle. I would add that it is also important to pick a field of study that has goodRead More odds of landing a job after graduation. I've seen too many young people with degrees like psychology, women's studies or history, not be able to find a job even with Master's degree's. This isn't good with big student loan debts hanging over their heads.

I enjoyed all your points I am at the point now were I have been looking for volunteer work andRead More internships. I would say the most important thing that you need to know if you go to community college is to make sure you get the Macro stamp so that all your credits are transferable to other colleges. I enjoyed my experience with community college but I know a lot of people who get screwed over with this route because they don't know about transferring credits.

What I have noticed is where one attends college is often linked to where internships and ensuingRead More job opportunities will be located. This sometimes separates families and support systems. Best to consider this when picking a college locale. Ask yourself do you think you would want to live there long term.

I did not "criticize conservatives". That is an unfair false statement. I made a pointedRead More observation of facts on an important issue in this election that this candidate took a position on, ie the topic of this thread. Sorry to interrupt your name calling and bizarre illusions of oppression with something of substance, Dale. Some people might actually be interested in the issues.
Taxpayers of Troy July 22, 2014 at 08:38 pm
I don't know you can get this through your thick skull, Dale, but politics is more that RepublicansRead More versus Democrats. I want ADULTS in charge. Marty Knollenberg's only qualification is his daddy's name. Rocky acts like a damn child most of the time. Didn't you see his little taunts thrown at Knollenberg? http://ow.ly/ztkP2 Probably not, right Dale? Because you're wiling to overlook any behavior as long as there's an (R) behind a person's name. You are as horrible a narcissist as our failed mayor. Because if we don't fall in line behind JAY-SUS, we're for the terrorists!

Yes, ToT, in this race (and all the others in fact) I'm looking for moderate, non-dogmatic,Read More pragmatic candidates who work well with others. Doesn't matter the party. One of the traits that the Oakland County Bar Assoc said to look for in judicial candidates was "good judicial temperament", I wish candidates for other offices would take heed of that as well, and act with dignity and professionalism.
