Weather Station at Anderson Middle School Will Track Berkley Conditions

The device started providing temperature, precipitation and other data online earlier this month; teachers will incorporate the tool into their curriculum.

Anderson Middle School educators have a new tool in their repertoire: The building has been fitted with a weather station that tracks environmental data such as temperature and precipitation.

"Anderson is working to develop curriculum to utilize Weather Bug data," according to a Berkley School District press release. "The AMS weather bug was funded through shared time school partnerships with the Berkley School District."

The station went online earlier this month.

In addition to tracking weather conditions, students – and community members – also will be able to watch storms as they move through the area on the Earth Networks-WeatherBug Weather Station's high-definition camera, which provides a bird's-eye view over Hurley Field.
