Youngsters in two Huntington Woods Parks & Recreation fruit camps got a treat Thursday when members of the Public Safety Department stopped by with a fire truck and squad car.

Kids ages 3- to 4-years-old in Camp Apples and those ages 4 and 5 in Camp Bananas used the powerful fire hose to douse faux flames in a burning house prop set up in the Burton Community Park parking lot.

After, the campers toured the fire truck and climbed inside a squad car. A few lucky campers and counselors tried on the firefighters' gear.

Campers' last names were withheld in photo captions at the request of the Huntington Woods Recreation Center.
