Michigan Republicans who attended Thursday's Lincoln Day Dinner at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi lauded the star-studded lineup, which included surging GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum.
Santorum spoke before 1,400 party supporters, and was joined by Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder, Ann Romney — wife of presidential candidate Mitt Romney — and other party leaders and political organizers.

...from Ohio...I hope that the good people of Michigan will vote for Mitt Romney. He is the candidate who will be able to debate, and win against Obama. Remember, Mitt has TWO degrees from Harvard. The president only has one! ;-)

I am a good person from Michigan, who will never vote for Mitt Romney. I do not care how many degrees Mitt bought from Harvard, I believe President Obama studied and earned his degree from the same University.

@lovetheusa1234 this Michigander does not want a candidate that can debate, I would rather have a candidate that runs on sound principles w/the American people in mind in addition to winning the General in November. Mitt Romney has neither going for him. His only principles are to himself and the financial backers that are supporting his campaign. About winning the election in November the only candidate that can do that is Ron Paul. He has the independents, the crossovers, libertarians, conservatives, and of course the traditional (won't change their mind, vote for who ever the GOP nominates) Republicans if he gets the nomination from the GOP. Ron Paul represents every American and this Conservative Michigander will be voting for him.

@Connie: Thanks! We tried to let the clips tell the story between this and our other video piece from the dinner. Glad you liked it!
As for Romney - any thoughts as to why he's not polling so well in his home state? Will his comments on the auto bailout hurt him?

Romney's comments on the Auto Bailout ought to hurt him. Do you know how long that would have been in bankruptcy court? The auto industry would have drowned by the time it was settled.
