The Berkley School District Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. Monday at the Avery Center in Oak Park following a 6:30 p.m. welcome reception for new staff members.
The agenda includes the following items, among others.
- A presentation by Aramark, the district's food service provider, on lunchroom changes for the 2012-2013 year under new nutritional guidelines set by the United States Department of Agriculture.
- Berkley High School Principal Randall Gawel will present an overview of the school's 2012 Michigan Merit Exam results. BHS students made gains in math, reading, science and writing, but performed worse this year in social studies, as did students statewide.
- Approval of an updated personnel list. See attached PDF.
There will be opportunities for citizen comments during the meeting.
