The Berkley City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall.

Among the items that will be discussed are the following.

• Appointing Tim Gaudet to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board with a term expiring July 2014.
• Appointing Anela Mihaescu and Dan Mihaescu to the Beautification Advisory Committee with terms expiring July 2015.
• Approving a contractor agreement with Catherine Pounders as a Public Safety Officer in the Berkley Public Safety Department from Sept. 24 through Sept. 23, 2013. The move comes amid staff changes after Sgt. Tom Dzendzel retired from the department May 1. The City Council honored his 25 years of service during a meeting in August.
• Approving a City Council resolution in support of a regional transit authority.

The meeting is open to the public and there will be opportunities for citizen comments. It also is available to view live on the city's website.
