Get tips to help with your job hunt and save on business attire during event at Council ReSale shop in Berkley put on by the Jewish Vocational Services and the National Council of Jewish Women.
The Council ReSale shop, formerly Council Thrift, in Berkley will host a Dress for Success event 1-3 p.m. Tuesday.
This will be the fourth time the Jewish Vocational Services and the National Council of Jewish Women has put on the event, which offers job seekers free tips on interviews and resumes from career experts, plus extra discounts on interview attire and accessories.
Merchandise retail director Robert Lebow said he expects approximately 30 attendees. The event is open to people of all faiths, he said, and no registration is necessary.
"This is a great event," Lebow said.
It offers the perfect opportunity for those job hunting and those wanting to advance in their current jobs to learn how to better present themselves, he said.
Along with tips and presentations, hair and makeup advice also will be given. Women's and men's apparel, including suits, ties and belts, will be marked down, Lebow said.
"Just show up," he said, "and get the whole schmear."
