Coolidge Construction Now Under Way

The project to repave Coolidge Highway in Huntington Woods has shut down the northbound lane between 10 and 11 Mile roads.

After a one week delay, the northbound lane of Coolidge Highway between 10 and 11 Mile roads is officially closed for construction.

Despite the delay, Huntington Woods City Manager Alex Allie said the project  is off to a good start, currently in the demolition phase.

“Things will start with a vengeance this week,” he said.

Motorists are being rerouted to either Greenfield or Woodward for northbound travel while the road is being repaved. Get the full detour information here.

The project is expected to be completed by mid-September — a deadline that leaves room for delays like last week’s and also rain days when concrete cannot be poured.
