Girls Night Out Hits the Town Thursday

The second annual Girls Night Out event, featuring discounted shopping and dining in downtown Berkley, will be held Thursday to benefit the Berkley School District.

"Check in is at Council ReSale anytime between 5 and 7 (p.m.) where participants will get a reusable shopping bag, wrist band, and a map detailing the evening’s activities including where to get a free ticket for prizes!" Lisa Gibala-Warren wrote on Berkley Patch. "Then they’re ready to hit the streets and visit the participating businesses. Stop in all the participating stores for a chance at a Grand Prize!"

Shopping will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Participants will receive discounts, giveaways, gift bags and product samples from the following merchants:

A shuttle will take shoppers to 24 Seconds Bar & Grill from 8 to 10 p.m. for an after-party for those 21 and older.

Girls Night is presented by the nonprofit Berkley Education Foundation and Nicolai Events & Communications, and is sponsored by Farina's Banquet Center, Telcom Credit Union and 24 Seconds.

Tickets cost $30 in advance or $40 at the door. Visit www.befgirlsnightout.com to buy tickets. E-mail jane@nicolaievents.com or call 248-239-0284 for more information.
